Bern: Official visit to Switzerland

The Budapest Centre in cooperation with Swisspeace Swisspeace organized a Dialogue with the Task Force Dealing with the Past and Mass Atrocities of the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs  in Bern on 27 June 2013.

On behalf of the “Task Force on the EU Prevention of Mass Atrocities” Ms. Chiara de Franco, the coordinator of the Task Force presented the Report prepared on the EU capabilities to prevent mass atrocities.

The participants discussed the main conclusions and recommendations of the Report and exchanged views on the possibilities to further enhance cooperation between the Budapest Centre, the Swiss FDFA and the Swisspeace with a special view to risk assessments, methodology and collaboration of the international community in the domain of mass atrocities prevention.
