The Budapest Centre for the International Prevention of Genocide and Mass Atrocities welcomes Anastasia Buscicchio who is going to be a new Research Assistant of the organization from mid-February 2016.
Anastasia Buscicchio holds a Master’s degree in International Law from LUISS Guido Carli University, and wrote her final thesis on “International Crimes, Immunity of the Foreign State, and Protection of the Fundamental Rights According to Sentence 238-2014 by the Italian Constitutional Court.” Her research interests concern the recent developments and challenges within the International Law framework, with a focus on International Environmental Law, European Law, and International Protection of Human Rights. At the Budapest Centre, she will cover the position of Research Assistant. More specifically, she will contribute to the research background of the Centre, the drafting of policy-papers, and the planning of trainings, seminars, and workshops that the Centre will carry out to spread the importance of disseminating preventive capabilities worldwide.
